As part-time chief executive of the Town, I am responsible for all phases of supervision of Town government. This includes planning, budgeting, and handling day-to-day operations as well as communicating with State and Federal agencies on matters relating to Town management.

The Town presently has approximately 9 full-time employees and 22 part-time employees. Also, the Town has 10 separate departments, each with a department head that reports directly to me. I work closely with these department heads to coordinate Town activities, deal with employee issues, provide direction in regard to the implementation of policies adopted by the Town Board, and to propose and investigate projects for consideration by the Board.

Concerning my legislative functions as Supervisor, I serve as chairperson of the Town Board. As chairperson, I conduct the Town Board meetings (usually held the third Wednesday of every month) as well as public hearings and public information meetings. I also have the authority to call for special Town Board meetings as provided by New York State Town Law.

In addition, in my position as Supervisor, I work as Town Budget Officer to prepare the annual budget for presentation to the Town Board. The current yearly budget for the Town is approximately $3.5 million dollars.

Finally, I place a high value on my accessibility to constituents, Town employees, and management. It is here that I derive the greatest pleasure in my job as I solve problems and discuss important issues on a daily basis.
